Tuff Stuff Mixed Marketing Message
October 1st, 2008Today I received a newsletter from Tuff Stuff. Upon opening, I was greeted with the following:
See how it says “To get the free pricing right now, click here.” Well, I clicked and was brought to this:
So I clicked again and was brought to the F+W Publications Tuff Stuff Back-Issue Store, where I could add new pricing to my cart for $4.99/set:
News flash Tuff Stuff - if it’s $4.99, it’s not free. Knowing them, this probably wasn’t intentional. Hell, they probably never even noticed it (or any of the other plethora of errors I notice in the 10 minutes a month I spend on their site). Still, it’s annoying and looks sloppy. Here I thought they might be offering something for free that collectors might find a tiny bit useful. I was wrong.
