The Very Best of SportsLizard
November 10th, 2008Since launching SportsLizard in 2004 there’s been a whole lot of content published. I’d like to think most of it’s been pretty good, but there are a handful of articles and posts that I consider to be great reads for anyone who is involved in the hobby in any capacity. I’ve added a “Best of” sidebar to the Lizard’s Rant Blog and to the new Collector’s Voice so to help new readers find these articles and old readers re-discover them.
Here’s the list:

Hi my name is Kevin I live in London Ontario Canada and I have a nice collection of cards. I was wondering how to go about getting my cards rated so that someone creditable, other then myself can rate my cards a perfect 10 or 8 or whatever.
Also, is there a best way to go about selling my cards. Ie: e-bay, kagigi, events etc.
Thanks for your help I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Hi Kevin -
In general, I like to sell my best cards via eBay and the rest on Craigslist (or a local hobby shop). The best ones will net the most on eBay while the rest probably aren’t worth much and it’s easiest to unload locally. You can check eBay completed listings (you need an account and need to be logged in) to get an idea of the value of your best cards. You can also check out this article on our site http://prices.sportslizard.com/how-to-value.php As far as grading, this guide on eBay is helpful http://pages.ebay.com/buy/guides/graded-sports-cards-buying-guide/
Good luck!
Adam
