Mr. Potato Head Sports Spuds - are you kidding me?

I recently became aware of the fact that Hasbro is selling “Sports Spuds” Mr. Potato head dolls. Apparently these “collectibles” have been around since 2005. Hasbro, the company that purchased Kenner and Starting Lineups back in 1991, will manufacture and sell a potato-head sports figure but not continue a line of realistic sports figurines that had a loyal following and rabid secondary market?
